David´s guardSpielbudenplatz 31
The most popular police guards in the world is probably the one at Spielbudenplatz (playground)/corner Davidstraße (David street) on the Reeperbahn. Buit in 1914, the building which is now monument protected, has seen generations of policemen who ensured that the Reeperbahn remains the way it is now depicted...an absolutely safe amusement center for thousands of pleasure seekers from near and far. At the same time, it serves as Hamburg´s signboard. Policemen and women who work in this witches´ chair must be chipped out of special woods. Those who take warm shower, swim at the edge of the beck and forget their bag wouldn´t survive a day here. The cops put their lives and health at stake to ensure peace and order so that everyone can feel safe and have fun to the fullest. In this context, a big thanks to all the policemen and women of Davidwache (guard).
P.S. And for anyone who has been helped by the police, it would be good to show one´s gratitude in the form of donations to the Police Association which assists the police officers that were seriously injured in service.

If a restaurant is on the court for over 30 years, there must be a reason for that.
And that reason is the very good food here. Also the service is very considerate, yes, there are actually still those kinds who naturally give extra portion of bread or olives. However, the service needs some time to interact with the guests. The initial bashfulness will soon pave way to such warm hospitality.
Stay AliveDavidstraße 30
Counseling and meeting place for drug users.

You can opt for live cooking or a la carte meal. At the live cooking (all you can eat for 25 EUR / Feb 2013), you choose first from cold or hot appetizers.
Then you can put together your main course. To do this, select from many raw ingredients such as meat, fish and vegetables from their menu and bring the plate to one of the cooks, and then determine a possible sauce out of six possible choices. If you see the chef with a questionable look or grimace, you better choose another sauce. Within seconds your dish is ready. And finally, you can still choose a dessert. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. This also applies to the dish a la carte. The service is very quick and friendly, However, it is often quite unprofessional which can lead to some minor irritations. Due to the high ceilings, it is unusually loud. A well-planned romantic date might soon turn out into a loud roar. It is, however, more quiet in the lounge with a cozy chill-out music.
